Ric established Pendulum in 2000, and his vision and exemplary leadership have grown Pendulum into the industry’s premier risk management company, providing consultative services to a full spectrum of healthcare settings. Because of his comprehensive background in senior living, Ric works seamlessly with both the operational side and the insurance side of the business.

Ric has provided training on risk assessment and management, quality assurance, and liability issues nationally and overseas to promote Pendulum’s mission of helping clients reduce professional liability exposure by balancing risk and defensibility.

He is a member of the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) and Fellow. Ric has been licensed as a nursing home administrator in California, Georgia, Hawaii, Massachusetts, New Mexico, and Tennessee. Ric received a Bachelor of Arts in Theology.

Liz Roberts, PT, LNHA is a passionate, strategic healthcare leader committed to value driven clinical and operational success. She is a healthcare executive, licensed physical therapist, and licensed nursing home administrator with more than 20 years of experience in skilled nursing and post-acute care. In her most recent roles, she has served as Chief Executive Officer of a five-star skilled nursing facility, Administrator, and Vice President of Rehabilitation for a multi-facility private organization.

Throughout her career, Liz has been known for combining strong clinical insight with thoughtful, collaborative leadership. She is deeply committed to partnership across the senior healthcare continuum and focuses on achieving excellent outcomes while fostering a supportive, connected culture for organizations and residents. Liz was appointed President of Pendulum in February 2026.

Lynn joined Pendulum in 2018 as an Administrative Assistant with more than 30 years of experience in clerical administration, management, and accounting. A detail-oriented professional, Lynn assists in all areas of office operations and provides additional support to colleagues when needed.

Lynn also takes on the role of accessorizing the office and creating a festive atmosphere during all holiday seasons.

Melissa joined the Pendulum team in 2018 as a Technical Editor. She has been an editor for more than a decade and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Writing.

Her background includes editing for a fine arts and literature magazine, creating training and procedure manuals, and document management.

David joined the Pendulum team in July 2025 as a Claims Support Technician. His responsibilities include new claim setup, loss run reporting, and various projects to help the claims team. In 2024, David passed the state exam to obtain his Independent Adjuster’s License. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking and golfing and is a volunteer/coach for the Special Olympics.

Jennifer has a strong background working in the health and information technology world. She joined the Pendulum team in 2011 and specializes in building reports and customizing Pendulum’s claims management system for clients’ needs. Jennifer provides tech support for the system and client users, develops and maintains department processes and protocols, and executes and distributes claims data reporting while assisting the claims team.

Tanya joined the Pendulum team in 2016 as a Claims Support Specialist, entering incident reports and processing invoices. Her duties quickly grew to include bill review; Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP Extension Act of 2007 (MMSEA) reporting to CMS; and setting up new claims in the Pendulum system, as well as providing various reporting to Pendulum’s clients such as loss runs, bordereaux, and reconciliation reports. In 2019, Tanya passed the state exam to obtain her Independent Adjuster’s License. Tanya is also responsible for monitoring Pendulum’s Notice Only and Potential Compensatory Event files.

Leah joined the Pendulum team in 2024 as a Technical Editor. She has been an editor for 25 years, with experience in print journalism and fashion copywriting.
